A changing world
It is said that ‘the only constant thing is change’. This has never been as true as in the field of technology and in the task of
keeping up with the latest trends. The online environment is changing the way in which we live, communicate and socialise.
And this is as true for paedophiles as it is children and young people.
Where technology develops so quickly, it is often young people who are experimenting online and pushing social and moral
boundaries in a new way, in a different environment and on emerging digital platforms. High profile media coverage has
highlighted society’s collective concerns and the risks offenders pose online.
So how do young people use the internet? What are they doing online and how are they using the latest technology?
What are sexual offenders doing online and where are the risks for young people?
This one day conference will answer all those questions and more.
