Messenger for children now available for download

An online messenger service for children has been developed by Microsoft in cooperation with Jugendschutz.net, the Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle Multimedia-Diensteanbieter and the Johanniter Unfallhilfe e.V. and is now available for download. The messenger software is designed to be particularly appropriate for children between the ages of 8 to 12 years and to fit their specific needs. The messenger is safeguarded by technical means to provide a safer online environment while experimenting with these kinds of services.
