This document sets out a series of models of good practice for the provision of
different kinds of internet services by a range of companies and organisations
who are active in the online world. It is intended primarily as a guide to
commercial or other organisations, or individuals, who are already providing
online services or are considering doing so in the future. As a public document,
it will also be of interest to internet users.
It was prepared by the Home Office Task Force on Child Protection on the
internet, a unique collaboration between the internet industry, Government and
main opposition parties, law enforcement and children’s interests.
