European Schoolnet and the Interactive Software Federation of Europe will present results and reports of their project 'Games in Schools' on the same-named conference on May 5th 2009 in Strasbourg. The two institutions carry out a major study on the use of games in schools in Europe about video games, computer games, online games that run on consoles, computers, handhelds or mobile phones.

After an introduction about the interlocking of games and formal education the study will be presented - followed by question and answer sessions. The organizers will engage high-level policy makers and researchers in a debate about the pedagogical use of electronic games.

Further information and the programme to be found under www.isfe.eu.

People who will not have the possibility to attend, will be able to follow the conference via live stream under http://tv.coe.int/webcast/

The conference is free of charge and includes access to sessions, materials, reports and lunches, however participants have to cover their travel and accommodation costs.
