The currently ongoing online debate about
chats, communities etc.: How safe are children and young persons online? will be celebrated with a closure event on 21st of October 2008 in Berlin.
Parents, pedagogues, experts and Internetprovider can participate in an online debate about youth protection and data protection on the Internet since 1st of September 2008. The
Bundesinitiative Unternehmen: Partner der Jugend e.V., initiated by
Telefónica o2 Germany, provides the opportunity to exchange views and discuss about risks of the virtual world, f.e. how much private information should be published online and what parents, pedagogues, users themselves and politicians can do about that.
Participants of the online debate will present results from the contributions and discuss them within an expert panel on the closure event. Professionals from jugendschutz.net, the German media institute JFF or Jugend online are expected and two young people will give their statements in the forum.
