In a global media world it is not the question to decide wheter to work in pedagogical institutions with the new media or not - it is an urgent necessity.
The shape and possibilties of the use of the new media by children and young persons is related to their social backround and education. To support the equal right of participation, the pedagogical and the political commitment is essential.
