The French minister of education and cultural affairs Christine Albanel has defended the French legislative project "Creation et Internet". She does not determine a peril for the law on the part of the European Union. The law regulates the controversial blockings of Internet access for users, who have been repeatedly got caught because of the exchange of in copyright matters protected data. It is planned to give the surveillance to a separate authority called Haute autorité pour la diffusion des œuvres et la protection des droits sur Internet (Hadoupi), which was currently responsible only for questions of interoperability. The laws is often criticised by holders of rights.
