Representatives of organisations of self-regulation and child protection associations held a debate at the Lower House of German Parliament about the clearing out of the youth media law and about the responsibilities of parents.
Christiane von Wahlert, managing director of the 'Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft (FSK)' admitted, that there is always a possibility of misusage of the new media by children, but this cannot lead to even more severely youth media protection regulations.
Rather another climate for recreational activities is needed and the empowerment of children by educational training of digital literacy by parents and teachers.
