A survey about video games and their effects on children – considering 4,000 parents from France, Italy and Germany and the UK – found out that more than 75% of them are concerned about the content of video games played by their children. Almost 50% of the parents stated the necessity of limiting the gaming to one hour a day.
The survey claimed that 63% of the children are playing games on their own, 12 % with friends and 19% with their family. The parents envision themselves as decision makers for the kind of game their children should play, rather than regulators or the video games industry.
