According to the Electronic Frontier Finland the Finnish police maintains a secret block list of web sites suspected to contain child pornography, in accord with a law passed in 2006. The intention of the law is to prohibit the access to foreign sites that contain child pornography.
Most of the blocked sites are hosted in the United States or EU countries. EFFI criticises that many of them turned out to be apparently legal sites with pornographic content and some of the blocked sites comprise no pornographic content at all.
