Virtual communities are trendy!

More and more websites offer the exchange of private information like hobbies and interests. Above all, mostly young persons use communities like MySpace, Xing, Facebook or StudiVZ. Every third of the 14 to 29 year-olds have once or more often participated in one of those offers. Even 7% of the 12 to 19 year-olds Internet users have contributed content to MySpace. Often, this is out of parental control, because it happens usually at home in the children's own room. One third has an own Internet access, out of the 16 to 17 year-olds, even one half has.
